Origins of Silk

Silk is produced in different regions of the world, each with its own character. Chinese silk is smooth and satiny, with a creamy white natural colour. Japanese silk has a similar cream tone with a refined, even hand. Italian silk is soft and rich in colour, often with a subtle yellow cast. Our silk comes from Suzhou — the historic heart of Chinese sericulture, where mulberry silk has been woven for millennia.
