Silk Georgette

Georgette is a sheer, lightweight, dull-finished crepe named after the early 20th-century French dressmaker Georgette de la Plante. It is springier and less lustrous than the closely related chiffon, and comes in weights from light to heavy. We use georgette for scarves that need a touch more body than chiffon, while staying light and airy.
